Privacy Policy & POPIA Notice

How Nissi Staffing Solutions collects, uses and protects your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Act 4 of 2013.

2. What personal information we collect

  • Financial information — banking details (for payroll purposes only, collected via our secure Staff Portal)
  • Usage data — browser type, pages visited, referring URLs (collected via cookies and analytics tools)
  • Enquiry data — service interests and messages submitted via our contact form

3. Why we collect it (lawful basis)

We process your personal information for the following purposes:

  • Recruitment — to assess your application, match you to suitable roles and contact you about opportunities
  • Employment administration — to process payroll, statutory deductions (PAYE, UIF) and issue payslips
  • Client service — to respond to enquiries and deliver our staffing and logistics services
  • Compliance — to meet obligations under the Labour Relations Act, NBCRFLI, OHS Act and SARS requirements
  • Communication — to send relevant service updates and notifications (you may opt out at any time)
  • Analytics — to improve our website and understand how visitors use it (with your consent)

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With our client companies for the purpose of placing you in a role, only to the extent necessary and with your knowledge
  • With regulatory authorities (e.g. SARS, Department of Employment & Labour) where legally required
  • With service providers (e.g. payroll systems, cloud hosting) who are contractually bound to protect your data under equivalent standards

5. How long we keep your data

We retain personal information for as long as required to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. For recruitment applicants who are not placed, we retain your profile for 24 months after your last interaction, then securely delete it. You may request earlier deletion — see section 8.

6. Cookies

Our website uses cookies to improve your browsing experience and to collect analytics data. When you first visit our site, you are asked to consent to non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies. Essential cookies (required for the site to function) are always active.

7. Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to update inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Objection — object to the processing of your personal information for direct marketing purposes
  • Complaint — lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at www.justice.gov.za/inforeg/

8. How to exercise your rights

Email our Information Officer at info@nissistaffing.co.za with the subject line "POPIA Request" and describe your request. We will respond within 30 calendar days. Requests are free of charge unless they are manifestly unfounded or excessive.

9. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. These include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and regular security reviews. In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as required by POPIA.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
